Shore Excursion: Barcelona panoramic tour from the cruise port

port of Barcelona

has been linked to the history of the city since its foundation by the Romans. Thanks to the natural shelter offered by the Montjuic hill and the Llobregat delta trade develop and convert the city to one of the biggest trading centre of the Mediterranean in the Middle Ages.
The port is therefore the ideal place to start your approach to Barcelona.
The panoramic tour starts by going up to the

Montjuic hill

which dominates the port and the city and offers the

best views of Barcelona

so that you can discover the city particular geometric structure, before discovering the emblematic spots and monuments more closely.

For this panoramic tour your guide and a

private vehicle with driver

will be waiting for you on the quay at the exit of your boat. They will be at your exclusive disposal until your return to the port.

From

Montjuich hill

top you will discover the bests points of view of the city, but also discover the buildings of the

1929 international exhibition

and the

1992 Olympic Games

facilities.

Then you will go to

Paseo de Gracia

avenue, the most exclusive avenue in Barcelona, discovering the achievements of the greatest modernist architects, including the

casa Batlló

and the

Casa Milà

(La Pedrera) by

Gaudí

, as well as other lesser-known but equally surprising modernist buildings.

At lunchtime, your guide will take you to the restaurant of your choice (we normally offer

tapas restaurants

to eat quickly). We can show you different quality restaurants at moderate prices, outside of tourist circuits.

After lunch you will visit the

Sagrada Familia

, the unfinished cathedral, Gaudi's last work before his accidental death. This cathedral impressive for its size and design is a unique work of art that will take your breath away.
Visit of the exterior, the interior and the museum.

Then back to the

cruise terminal

passing through the

ramblas

(most of the cruise companies want you back onboard before 5 p.m.)
