The old port of Barcelona has been transformed during the past several years, despite opposition from many residents of the area, into a port for mega-yachts that now abound in the Mediterranean.
After particularly dark negotiations, the town hall and the port of Barcelona, have leased until 2036, the management of the marina of the old port to a conglomerate of Russian millionaires. The official owner is an English investment group, Salamanca Group, but its role is only a cover up to hide the real owners and their participation in capital through investment funds originated in Cayman Islands and other tax havens…
Given the widespread corruption in Spain, some gossip suggests that, as usual in Russian tradition, suitcases full of banknotes have circulated to facilitate the negotiations.

This transformation now allows locals to contemplate one of the largest, most expensive and luxurious mega-yachts in the world… for example, this winter, the ACE, an 87 meter long yacht.
This mega-yacht is available to rent: it has 5 double cabins, 24 crew members at your service. So that no one gets bored on board it has a large terrace, a gym, a discotheque, a cinema, an indoor and outdoor jacuzzi, steam bath and banya (Russian steam bath).
To enjoy the area it has three zodiacs, 3 jet skis and a helicopter landing pad.
This, tall as a five-story building, giant yacht is owned by a Russian industrialist, Samvel Karapetyan, construction has cost about $120,000,000 and is for rent for €1,000,000 a week (extra expenses not included of course).
